First Prize: Whiting Rod and Reel Combo Mystery Prize: TBA Tuesday, April 10th until Monday June 11th inclusive. Minimum size 30cm
Ken Wall Memorial - Lake Bullen Merri
First Prize: Trout Rod and Reel Combo Mystery Prize: TBA Sat/Sun -May 12th & 13th, and Sat/Sun August 24th and 25th Minimum size 26cm (Trout, Redfin and Salmonids).
Gummy Shark Competition First Prize: Gummy Shark Rod and Reel combo Mystery Prize: TBA Saturday June 2nd until Sunday September 2nd inclusive Minimum size 60cm - Cleaned
Skinny Snapper Trophy
First Prize: Snapper Rod & Reel Combo Mystery Prize: TBA Saturday October 6th until Sunday December 2nd inclusive Minimum size 30cm
All Species Competition
First Prize: All Purpose Rod and Reel Combo Mystery Prize: TBA Saturday January 5th till Sunday March 31st inclusive (Species listed on Perpetual Brag Board) Minimum species sizes apply
Shark Competition
First Prize: Shark Rod and Reel Combo Mystery Prize: TBA Mako's, threshers, bronzies etc (Blue sharks and 7 gills excluded) Saturday December 1st until Easter Monday 2013 inclusive Minimum size 120cm
Club Championship
First Prize: $300 voucher
- 10 heaviest fish in each of the above competitions awarded points (10 for heaviest, 9, 8, 7 etc) All Species Comp Exempt
- Angler can only have one fish in top 10 for each competition
- All fish species listed on permanent brag board will be allocated 10 points, but only if they have not been allotted points for winning individual competitions
- All Species Competition: Competitors will be awarded 5 points each for each heaviest fish from species list on Brag Board weighed in by each competitor during all species comp. period
Nominated areas to be fished are:
Offshore: Launching at Barwon Heads and any ramp in the Surf Coast Shire Surf Fishing: Anywhere in the boundaries of the Surf Coast Shire Estuarine Fishing: Barwon Estuary, Thomson's Creek, Spring Creek and Anglesea River Freshwater: Lake Modewarre, Lake Murdeduke, Barwon River, Erskine River, Cumberland River, West Barwon Dam, Lake Elizabeth, Lake Bullen Merri, Purrembete, Ellingamite and Wurdeboloc Reservoir plus anywhere in Victoria for Brag Board only.
- It should be noted that the decision to go offshore fishing always remains with the boats skipper and judgments need to be made concerning tide, swell, weather etc.
- Only the species of fish nominated will be permitted to count towards the final points tally to decide the Club Champion.
- This years Club Championship will be the individual who tallies the most number of points at the conclusion of the competition.
The following rules apply to the Competition:
- Competitors must be current financial members of TAC
- Fishing competition starts at 6pm on Friday and runs until midnight Sunday or 6pm Easter Monday.
- Fish must be taken by rod and reel or hand line.No sharks shot by gun or powerhead will be eligible
- All competitors must launch and retrieve from ramps in the Surf Coast Shire or Barwon River for offshore fishing.
- All fish must be witnessed by an adult club member and all fish must be weighed on club scales in clubrooms. Away comps are exempt from this rule. Any other circumstances by consent of the club fishing Director.
- Decisions of the judges will be final (Club Committee)
- All competitors must abide by recreational fishing rules and guidelines.
- All Gummy & School Sharks must be weighed cleaned for competition and brag board.
- All fish weighed in for competitions must comply with minimum size limits as listed.
- In the event of a tie for the club championship a count back of rankings re competition places will decide the winner.
